About The Location

Town of Eagle

The Eagle Nest Raffle home is located in charming Eagle, Colorado. 6600 feet above sea level, 4.5 square miles in size, and with a year-round population of approximately 6,000 people, Eagle is a real mountain community, full of friendly faces.

The visitor to Eagle will find an adorable “old town” district complete with quaint main street, lined with boutiques, eateries, a pharmacy, coffee shop and library. Newer neighborhoods offer additional shopping, a movie theatre, and several new restaurants.

Perfect for families, Eagle offers two elementary schools and middle school within walking distance of most neighborhoods. Wide, paved sidewalks line all streets, making bike rides to school easy, safe, and fun. The town also boasts of several parks, an outdoor stage, public pool, and ice rink.

However it is the love of mountain living that make most people want to call Eagle “home.” Just 20-30 miles west of Beaver Creek and Vail resorts, Eagle is a short drive from world-class skiing. Other favorite winter pastimes include snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and ice fishing. The town offers miles of connecting paved and gravel eco-trails with over 1020 acres of town-owned open space. Bureau of Land Management and national forest lands surround the area, offering over 300 miles of trails to hiking, running, biking and 4-wheel drive enthusiasts. Home to one of the area’s finest golf courses and bisected by the Eagle River, the town has also become a favorite spot for golfers and anglers near and far.

Eagle is centrally located along the I-70 corridor, allowing residents easy access to neighboring mountain communities Breckenridge, Steamboat Springs, Glenwood Springs, and Aspen. The Eagle County Regional airport is just a 5 minute drive, while Denver International Airport can be reached in just a few hours.

The Bluffs

The Bluffs is one of Eagle’s newest and most desirable neighborhoods, offering adorable homes, affordable prices, and amazing views. The family-oriented area is dotted with townhomes, duplexes, and single-family dwellings, and is home to elementary and middle schools, parks, and athletic fields. Overlooking the Eagle River and opening onto BLM “open space,” hiking, and biking trails, the Bluffs is a nature-lover’s dream.
